    MONDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2018
    6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
    6:15 – 7:15 p.m. – Panel Discussion
    7:15 – 8:00 p.m. – Reception

Join leading U of T physicians and researchers as they explore death and dying in medicine, and delve inside the upcoming winter issue of UofTMed magazine.

We now have the technological power to keep people alive into extreme sickness and old age — and the lines between fatal and chronic, living and dying, are beginning to blur. As a result, many patients are starting to exercise their power to choose how and when they will die. Death is now often a negotiated event.

Hear from palliative care physicians Sandy Buchman and Jeff Myers, geriatric medicine specialist Samir Sinha, and assisted-death advocate Maureen Taylor, as they join UofTMed magazine editor Heidi Singer to explore the changing role of medicine in our final days.

Please RSVP by November 16th, 2018.
