Skule Bay Area Alumni Event with Professor Olivier Trescases

On May 4, the California Skule Alumni community is pleased to invite you to meet one of the most enterprising professors working with U of T Engineering today. Join fellow Skule alumni for an evening of networking, food and a special talk presented by Prof. Olivier Trescases from the University of Toronto’s Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Prof. Trescases will be joining us, to share with us his latest research on revolutionizing power electronics by dramatically shrinking the size of Power Electronic Coverters while maintaining efficiency in excess of 95%. This talk will review a number of industrial research collaborations in Prof. Trescases’ group, in applications ranging from electric aircrafts, electric vehicles, solar power and server power management. His talk is titled: “Opportunities for Advanced Power Electronic Converters in IT, Renewable Energy and Transportation Applications.”
