    Findependence Day

Jonathan Chevreau has published his first novel, Findependence Day. The National Post's personal finance columnist has previously authored or co-authored seven non-fiction financial books including The Wealthy Boomer and the Smart Funds series of mutual fund guides. After obtaining his honours BSc at U of T, Chevreau obtained an MA in Journalism at the University of Western Ontario. His first major job in journalism was as a technology reporter at the Globe and Mail. He joined the Post in 1993. He married Ruth Snowden (Trinity, Class of ’77) in 1989, and they live with their 17-year old daughter, Helen, in Long Branch, Ont.

    Favourite Book
My favorite book is The Pilgrim's Progress, perhaps because one reviewer likened the novel to a "financial pilgrim's progress."

    U of T Memory
His favorite U of T experience was living in residence at U of T and enjoying such traditions as the cake fight and Episkipon
