Alumni: Giving U of T more reasons to be proud

Dinner with 12 Strangers - Faculty Guests

“A unique and enjoyable way to spend an evening and a great opportunity to get more attuned with today’s students” - Click here to view Dinners that are currently available to Faculty guests

Dinner with 12 Strangers is an alumni run program designed to help improve the student experience at U of T. Its primary goal is to help students make new friends outside their own programs and faculties, but it also seeks to build linkages between students and other areas of the U of T community such as alumni and faculty.

To achieve this goal, alumni volunteers host dinner parties made up of a random assortment of guests (usually six to eight students, some alumni and a faculty member or two). Faculty guests are not asked to serve in any official capacity, simply to enjoy the evening and help facilitate social conversation.

The dinners are usually held in the home of the alumni volunteer who also covers all the expenses so there is no cost to participate (though guests are asked to arrange their own transportation).

If you are interested in attending a dinner as a Faculty guest, please view the available dinners below and RSVP for whichever dinner appeals to you most. RSVP to dinnerwith12@alumni.utoronto.ca
