Synopsis
Whether it is taking a daily dose of vitamins, seeing an acupuncturist, or attending a yoga class, complementary therapies have become a mainstay in the lives of many Canadians.
Growing evidence suggests some of these therapies hold promise in addressing a range of health issues and preventing certain diseases. But there can be risks to using complementary therapies. In her presentation, Professor Balneaves will discuss the latest evidence surrounding popular therapies and provide tips to making safe and informed decisions about complementary medicine.
Join fellow alumni, friends, and neighbours for an evening of learning and networking.
