Opening Reception for
New Light
Works by Doris McCarthy
Marking the Doris McCarthy Gallery’s 20th anniversary, New Light focuses on the life and work of the late, Scarborough-based artist and writer Doris McCarthy (1910–2010). Uniting artwork and archival material, the exhibition will laud McCarthy’s artistic capabilities and assert the enduring relevance of her work.
The exhibition includes a selection of works recently donated to the gallery as part of a major gift of over four hundred works by Doris McCarthy, from Wendy Wacko, artist and founder of Mountain Galleries.
Join us as we celebrate the exhibition and recognize this significant gift of McCarthy's work.
