Seminar & Reception Celebrating Former Dean and University Professor Emeritus Martin Friedland

Former Dean and University Professor Emeritus Martin Friedland’s illustrious career has been – and continues to be – driven by the pursuit of wide-ranging scholarly interests and celebrated through countless prestigious honours and awards.

Professor Friedland’s many contributions are personal (he has been a dedicated and influential mentor to many), institutional (since his time as dean of our Faculty, he has remained an active member of our community and generous with his unique insight and wise counsel), in public service (among other things, on many government committees  and commissions) and, above all, scholarly (ranging from his ground-breaking work in criminal law to his incisive histories of the University of Toronto and of the first dean of law, W.P.M. Kennedy.

Please join us to celebrate Marty’s 90th birthday at a Seminar and a Reception.
