The Jackman Humanities Institute invites you to join your friends and fellow fans of ancient Mediterranean culture to the 2022 Wiegand Memorial Foundation Lecture and reception on Thursday, Sept. 15, “Bronze Gears and Ethereal Spheres: The Antikythera Mechanism and Ancient Greek Cosmology,” with author and historian Alexander Jones of New York University. His work centres on the history and transmission of the mathematical sciences, especially astronomy.
